Our Mission
The aim of Salmon Free Falklands is to be a collective voice for the widespread public concern about bringing inshore, open-pen, salmon farming to the Falkland Islands.
Salmon Free Falklands want to establish continual engagement with government over this subject, and to share information with the public about how industrial salmon farming can negatively impact our economy, our natural environment, and our community more widely.
At present the Falkland Islands enjoy a near-pristine, richly biodiverse inshore environment, which we recognise as globally rare and worth preserving. Once compromised, it cannot be restored.
